Marriage-Based Greencard approved despite separation from spouse

Published: Sep 20, 2007 By: Robert D. Kolken Source: My Source

Our Vietnamese client physically separated from his United States citizen wife and moved to Florida for employment purposes after his conditional green card was approved.  His wife remained in Buffalo with her family. We were retained after the Vermont Service Center requested evidence of the bona fides of the marriage.

Robert D. Kolken, Esq., submitted an evidence package, which included copies of joint income tax returns, correspondence, insurance coverage, flight itineraries, letters from relatives, and photographs, along with a reasonable explanation for the physical separation.  Our client’s Petition for permanent green card was granted by the Vermont Service Center thereafter.
