Board of Immigration Appeals remand for waiver hearing

Published: Apr 12, 2006 Source: My Source
We successfully appealed a removal order entered against a client to the Board of Immigration Appeals.  The Appeals Board agreed that a client relied on eligibility for a waiver of deportability and thus deserved a hearing on whether he deserved a favorable exercise of discretion to remain in the U.S. as a permanent resident despite the client’s conviction.  The case is now remanded for further hearing before the Immigration Court.
