Client allowed to remain in US despite deportability

Published: Jun 12, 2006 By: Eric W. Schultz Source: My Source
Eric W. Schultz, Esq., successfully convinced a U.S. Immigration Judge that his client, a lawful permanent resident with strong family ties to the U.S. deserved a discretionary grant of cancellation of removal and a second chance to remain with his family in the U.S. despite his criminal conviction record which could have caused him to be deported.  The client was released from detention immediately after the trial’s verdict, and the client was reunited with his lawfully resident wife and family after having been incarcerated and detained for over a year due to the conviction.
