Citizen of Yemen Gets Green Card after 4 Year Wait

Published: Jul 17, 2006 By: Robert D. Kolken Source: My Source
Robert D. Kolken, Esq., obtained lawful permanent resident status on behalf of a citizen of Yemen who had obtained his conditional status on the basis of a marriage to a Untied States citizen, which application has been long pending for approximately 4 years due to FBI and other government agency checks.  The couple separated five months after our client received his two year green card and the divorce was finalized 3 months thereafter.  We were able to prove that he had entered into the marriage in good faith and not for the sole purpose of obtaining immigration benefits.  We obtained employment authorization and permission to travel abroad on behalf of the client during the adjudication process.
