Green Card Granted after TrialPublished: Jul 10, 2006 By: Matthew L. Kolken Source: My Source
Matthew L. Kolken has obtained the approval of a Green Card after a trial before an Immigration Judge. Mr. Kolken’s client, a citizen of the Czech republic, is married to a United States citizen, but has not lived with her since 1999. Mr. Kolken’s client has been paying child support and alimony since leaving the marital residence.
Mr. Kolken was able to convince the Immigration Judge that his client entered into his marriage for love and not for the sole purpose of evading the U.S. Immigration laws, and that it was in the interests of justice to approve the Green Card application because a United States Citizen Child would be adversely affected.
