Eric W. Schultz, Esq., successfully assisted a minor league professional hockey team obtain H-1B nonimmigrant status so that the team could promote its current head coach, a Canadian citizen, to the front office and take over the team’s professional responsibilities as General Manager.  Eric qualified the proposed beneficiary under the “Master’s Degree” cap exception in light of the beneficiary’s Master’s Degree from a U.S. university.  After a successful coaching career, the beneficiary is now ready to assume overall responsibilities for the team’s hockey and business operations when he starts his new job in October.
