L-1A Approved After Erroneous Denial

Published: Jan 10, 2007 Source: My Source

We received the approval of an L-1A on behalf of our client a leading retailer of travel products and services for the leisure and corporate markets with offices in Australia, Canada, and the United States.

Matthew L. Kolken was retained to assist with the transfer of a manager from the Canadian corporation to be employed by the U.S. Corporation as the Area Leader.  As Area Leader the employee is responsible for overseeing 7 branch offices, 14 Managers and Assistant Manager, and 18 consultants.

The Petition was approved by Citizen and Immigration Services after a preliminary determination by an inspecting officer that the individual was not eligible for L-1A status.

Matthew Kolken was able to overcome the erroneous denial and the employee has now been admitted to the United States for an initial period of 3 years.
