NONIMMIGRANT WAIVER APPLICATION APPROVED AFTER TRIAL

Published: May 3, 2007 By: Robert D. Kolken Source: My Source
Our Canadian citizen client was granted a nonimmigrant waiver by an Immigration Judge following a trial.  The waiver had previously been applied for by the client and had been denied by the Waiver Review Office of Customs and Border Protection of the Department of Homeland Security.  The client is inadmissible to the United States because of an 11 year old conviction in Canada for sexual assault.

We had the client, his spouse, the victim and her mother testify for our client and presented documentation as proof that the conviction was the result of an isolated incident, that he accepted responsibility for his actions, and that he was rehabilitated.
